The Gardeners Gild is for those interested in all aspects of gardening. Activities include gardening lectures, field trips to interesting gardens, exchanging plants and gardening information, and tending to the community plantings.

Plants for the Arden Fair

The Gardner's Gild will have no meetings in July and August, but we ask all gardeners to pot up cuttings and divisions of plants for the Arden Fair Gardeners' Gild Booth. Ferns, aloe plants and hostas were very popular last year. Other appropriate contributions to the booth are household plants that have outgrown their allotted space in your home, also jars of pickles, jams and jelly. Should you need empty pots, Ruth Bean has many.  Produce, decorative pots, garden torches, plant stakes, bird feeders, etc sell well.

Please deliver labeled plants (with growing instructions if possible) at the front of the Gild Hall on Friday August 29th from 1 PM to 7 PM to allow time for pricing.
 
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITITIES: If you have time to pick up plants from commercial donors between Wed. - Fri. of the Fair week please call Joy Mulholland at 475-2614. If you are available to receive donations on Friday, or work at the booth on Saturday, please contact Ruth Bean at 475-6140.
