Enjoy Tax Deductions

The Arden Club is an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As a result, all contributions to the Arden Club are tax deductible to the donor. The following qualify for the tax deduction:

• Arden Club membership dues.
• Expenses incurred for the Arden Club or any Gild except the Swim Gild. Contributions to the Swim Gild, except for Arden Club dues, are not tax deductible. The Swim Gild currently doesn't qualify as a 501(c)(3) organization.
• Automobile mileage.
• Out of pocket expenses (mail, phone, supplies, etc.) But, there is no compensation for your time.
• Cash donations to the Arden Club.
• Non-cash contributions to the Arden Club at fair market value such as equipment, materials and books.
• The value of any material benefits to the donor received as a result of a donation should be subtracted from any deduction.

We urge all Club members to take advantage of our 501(c)(3) tax deductible status when preparing your Federal and State tax returns. If you have questions or need more information about the tax deduction for contributions to the Arden Club, contact Alton Dahl at 529-0271. (While outright contributions such as membership fees are tax-deductible, money spent on concert tickets, meals, etc. are not tax-deductible since the money is given in exchange for goods or services.)

Membership Fees

Basic membership fees as of 8/1/2007 are:

• $20 per year for adults,
  ages 18 through 64;
• $15 per year for those
  over 64 years old;
• $7 per year for
  ages 3 through 17;
• $50 for an entire family, and
• special Pathway memberships.

Send checks, payable to "The Arden Club, Inc." to the address below. Membership is valid for 12 months from the time you sign up; it is not
related to the calendar year.

We are pleased to offer several new ways to contribute to the Arden Club. You can now show your support by participating in our new Pathways to Membership program. You can receive all the benefits of basic membership plus many new enhancements. Best of all, your tax-deductible contribution allows the Arden Club to continue to grow and make available the unique events for which we are known.

When you join Pathways to Membership before May 1, 2005, you will be entered in the Arden Club's First Annual Drawing to win a Summer Fun Package designed by the Swim Gild which includes:
